An experienced offshore industry executive, energy consultancy Nautilus Associates Ltd and a group of specialist investors have formed a marine services company that claims to bring a new approach to the marine renewables sector.
Seabed and Offshore Solutions Ltd is led by managing director Martin Sisley, who brings a wealth of experience to the role following previous senior positions as managing director of James Fisher Marine Services, Red7Offshore, and Ocean Installer.
The company said it brings all of the technical skills required for offshore oil and gas and renewables work under one banner, enabling it to offer greater efficiencies, leaner teams and more profitability to customers.
Seabed Solutions will provide solutions for all seabed related matters during the lifecycle of offshore energy assets, including offshore wind, wave, tidal, oil and gas and associated infrastructure. Its range of services includes seabed rectification, client representation, UXO assessment, removal and detonation, seabed asset decommissioning solutions, and seabed asset condition reporting. Others include boulder removal, ‘repair whilst there,’ scour prevention, cable stabilisation, free span corrections, supply and installation of tyre, concrete, frond and hybrid mattresses, crossing design and installation and remotely operated vehicle operations.
Mr Sisley said “We are thrilled to be launching Seabed Solutions after several months of developing the business concept. We know from discussions across the industry that there is a major gap in the seabed market for a solutions-focused provider that really delivers what clients need.
“Seabed Solutions will do things a little differently. We are offering our clients an impartial and independent assessment of their problem, developing and implementing innovative and cost-effective solutions.”
The new business is based at the OrbisEnergy centre in Lowestoft.
