The first training course Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO)
Lerus Training Centre conducted a first HLO Initial Training course.
All students have gained initial knowledge, understanding and skills required to perform the role of Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) with high level of safety and efficiency:
- Offshore Helideck regulations and guidelines
- Helicopter and Helideck Hazards and Management Systems
- HLO responsibilities during helicopter landing and departure
- Supervision of passengers and cargo handling
- HLO Normally Unattended Installations. HLO Responsibilities
- Supervision of HDA’s
- Helicopter refuelling awareness
Supervision of passengers handling
Supervision of cargo handling
Different ways of communication
Lerus Training Centre is on the way to get approval of OPITO for
HLO and HDA training courses. This first training group showed us how to improve the program of training course and our training facilities, which will meet all requirements of OPITO.
